Technical inspection of UPS

Systematic measurement, inspection and cleaning of the UPS allows its current condition and battery life to be determined.

When diagnosed early enough, a worn or damaged UPS battery can secure power for the most sensitive equipment such as servers or hospitals.

If required, we will carry out a capacitor replacement for the UPS, or help you select a new power supply for your facility.

  • External inspection of the power supply and battery packs.
  • Checking the correct operation of the power supply fan assemblies.
  • Cleaning or replacing air filters, if necessary.
  • Checking the alarms on the control panel.
  • Checking the internal and external electrical connections of the power supply.
  • Checking the condition of circuit breakers, fuse disconnectors of battery banks.
  • Checking the condition of internal battery charging equipment.
  • Condition monitoring of inverters.
  • Inspection of DC and AC bus capacitors,
  • Checking the technical condition and correct operation of rectifiers.
  • Checking the technical condition and correct operation of the input and output filters.
  • Checking the technical condition of by-pass components (e.g. static by-pass connectors, manual service by-pass, parallel operation kits).
  • Checking the technical condition and correct functioning of the thermostats or temperature sensors switching on the motors of the power supply fan units.
  • Checking the correctness of indications of measurement sensors (e.g. battery and PSU temperature) on the PSU control panels and possible calibration.
Checking the condition of the battery bank, measuring the voltages in the charging state.
  • Control of the effectiveness of the automatic transition of the power supply into the battery charging phase.
  • Control and measurement of input and output currents and voltages, battery branch voltages, charging currents and battery maintenance currents and comparison of the measured values with the values shown on the control panel displays.
  • Measurement of the voltage and/or resistance of a single battery block during normal operation of the PSU without disconnecting the batteries (normal operation mode, no battery operation).
  • UPS Recapping.
  • Battery replacement.
  • Replacement of the entire UPS.
  • UPS inverter repair.
  • Modernisation of the uninterruptible power supply.
